“I dream of a world with equitable access to resources, for everyone to get an equal shot at fulfilling their dreams and to shape not just their future but that of the world.“
Chanchal Bhoorani’s first name means “flickering,” which she feels is perfect because she has the ability to embrace temporary disorder to find a new order in the world.
Compelled by how data analytics could answer her questions about the world, Chanchal got her start at Ola Cabs, designing design allocation and dynamic pricing algorithms. After that she built and led the product team at fashion marketplace Zilingo. In 2019, Chanchal moved to the US to join Stanford Graduate School of Business, and also founded Aravalli, a blockchain-based cross-border marketplace.
After graduation, inspired by how software empowers entrepreneurs in remote areas to build world-changing products, she joined WestBridge, where she focuses on enterprise software.
Chanchal is grateful to be the first in her family to get a full-time university education. In her free time she volunteers with female education and employment organizations. She can also be found cheering for underdogs in Formula One racing, climbing, and hosting game nights.
