About Maria
Maria Cheeran joined WestBridge Capital in September 2015 and handles all compliance-related matters at the firm and assists on several legal and governance aspects across the firm. Maria is also part of several non-legal initiatives across the firm and is constantly figuring out ways to streamline processes.
Born and brought up in Kerala, Maria graduated from the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research at Hyderabad, with a B.A., LL.B in 2008. That year she landed every law graduate’s dream job at Amarchand Mangaldas, and was part of the general corporate advisory team and worked across the realms of employment law, private equity and capital market transactions.
Outside of WestBridge, Maria loves spending time with her little girl and also enjoys music, dance, books, and binge-watching shows when she manages to find some me-time.
