Shobitha Mani
General Counsel
“If my 20 years of experience in the high-stakes worlds of business and law have taught me anything, it’s these three things: be kind, be curious, and listen wholeheartedly. These are the keys to success in business, and in life.“
About Shobitha
A self-described “army brat” who grew up in many small military bases across India, Shobitha graduated from the National Law School, Bengaluru, in 2002. After a two-year stint at the law firm of Amarchand & Mangaldas in Mumbai, she has since rediscovered her Bengaluru roots, embracing its great weather and bad traffic. Before joining WestBridge in 2012, Shobitha was a partner in the private equity practice at Wadia Ghandy & Co.
Being a lawyer at WestBridge allows Shobitha to have the best of both worlds, working with some of the most intelligent investors and lawyers to forge new relationships across multiple sectors, while staying connected to the constantly evolving legal and regulatory landscape across three jurisdictions.
When she’s not at work, you can find Shobitha either firmly on her couch trying to catch up on her reading or desperately trying to keep up with her delightful whirlwind of a daughter.
