About Ishita

Ishita believes in balance and reaching decisions from a place of equanimity. True to her beliefs, she balances learning with work.

Ishita is an Investment Analyst at WestBridge Capital, Bangalore. She partners SaaS companies and looks to absorb life and career lessons from the interesting people that she meets. She joined IIT Bombay to study Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science. She also holds a degree in Humanities and Social Science, mainly literature. She led the literary arts society at her alma mater for a year.

Ishita’s career began with a consulting stint at EY-Parthenon where she worked spanning India, South-east Asia, and Italy, covering the education domain from pre-kindergarten to higher learning. She was also part of an early-stage media startup, covering various functions such as product management, social media strategy and business analytics. This experience motivated her to get into the venture capital space to work in proximity with startups across industries.

Prior to WestBridge, Ishita worked with Vertex Ventures South-east Asia and India, an early-stage venture capital fund based out of Singapore. Here, she evaluated businesses across sectors and worked closely with portfolio companies in the content and media, consumer brands, and healthcare spaces.

A complete foodie, one of the ways that Ishita likes to indulge her palate is by exploring new restaurants. She also relaxes by flexing her gray cells at board games!
