About Phanindra
Phanindra Sama is the founder of redBus, the world’s largest online bus ticketing company, Subseq, and Kakatiya Sandbox, a social impact venture based in his hometown of Nizamabad. Currently he serves the Government of Telangana as the chief innovation officer, and is on the board of T-Works, India’s largest hardware prototyping center.
Phani is a Young Global Leader (YGL) at the World Economic Forum, and has twice appeared on Fortune’s “40 under 40” list. Phani holds a B.E (Hons) with distinction from BITS-Pilani, studied Responsible Leadership and Sustainable Business Practices at the Swedish Institute, and Economics and Psychology at Stanford University, and received the Chevening Fellowship from King’s College London.
