About Praneet

Praneet comes from the old school maxim of what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger! He is an Associate at WestBridge Capital, Bangalore. He partners with companies in the financial services / fintech domain and looks to learn from founders in the space.

Hailing from further north of the Vindhyas – Ghaziabad to be precise, Praneet completed his BTech in Production and Industrial Engineering from IIT, Delhi. He started his professional career with Paytm in their e-commerce vertical, where he was part of the team that helped raise funding from the Alibaba Group. He then got his MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad, where he co-founded an impact investment student-run initiative to support social entrepreneurs.

Praneet is passionate about technology, start-ups, and edtech. He co-founded an edtech startup called WeSkill which provided a digital learning platform for nurturing pursuits like dance, music, and chess in young children. Prior to his entrepreneurial venture, he worked with Bain & Company as a Consultant, helping e-commerce and consumer tech clients strategize and execute their digital ecosystem for sustainable growth.

When not at work, Praneet is quite the nomad, preferring to travel and see the world. He is also a sports buff who plays squash and follows Formula 1 races.
