“Technology has been the biggest contributor to human advancement. Working alongside entrepreneurs to dream and create exciting tech products is what drives me.“
They say “it takes a village to raise a child” and in Ravi’s case it indeed did. He grew up in rural India with the warmth of an extended family. Moving to IIT Madras for undergrad was a fascinating cultural experience for Ravi as he interacted and learnt from his vibrant classmates from all over India. Ravi has since lived and worked in 6 cities around the world and is currently based in San Francisco.
Ravi started his career as an investment banker at Nomura. He later joined BCG to work in financial services practice but serendipitously ended up becoming one the first product managers in BCG’s digital practice, which is where he fell in love with technology. At BCG, Ravi led the design and buildout of several tech products for leading enterprises in India, bringing large productivity gains and transformational business outcomes. After pursuing his MBA at Wharton, Ravi continued to nurture his love for technology as a product manager for Gmail and Google Chat. At Google, Ravi helped streamline product strategy for Google’s communication apps. He also partnered with his peers to invest in and nurture several Crypto/Web3 companies.
Owing to the growing young, tech savvy and enterprising population in India, Ravi strongly believes that India is on track to be a software product powerhouse and extend its gains in the tech sector beyond being the largest IT services exporter. He is thrilled to be closely working with entrepreneurs and supporting them in realizing their dreams of creating tech products that people love. When not scouting for new enterprise products or geeking over what’s new in Crypto, Ravi enjoys long hikes, reading non-fiction and meeting lots of friends.
