About Uday
Uday is excited to be part of WestBridge, given our role in the consumer and retail sectors. What interests him the most, however, is our focus on middle-income and low-income consumers.
He is from a small village in Andhra Pradesh, but was fortunate to get high quality education – at premier institutions such as the Hyderabad Public School and later, the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta - helped, in no small measure, by Government scholarships.
Post his MBA, Uday worked for nearly two decades with Procter & Gamble across India, Singapore, and the UK. After P&G, he worked as a COO at DMart for a little over 5 years, and then as a Business Head - B2B at udaan, for 3 years. As the trajectory shows, he likes the Retail/Consumer space, and sees it as a good platform to strive to ‘do well by doing good’.
