About Tushar

Tushar Gupta is an Investment Associate at WestBridge Capital, based out of Silicon Valley. He focuses on backing extraordinary founders building the next generation of AI-driven companies.

Tushar began his career in J.P. Morgan’s Investment Banking M&A group, where he executed multi-billion-dollar deals for enterprise software, internet, and semiconductor clients, and served as the team’s AI ambassador testing tools to automate finance workflows. He later joined the founding team of Nova Intelligence, an Accel- and SAP-backed startup, where he helped scale the company from concept to enterprise pilots and drove strategy and operations to modernize Fortune 500 SAP systems.

His early exposure to the startup ecosystem came through internships in early-stage investing at Battery Ventures and an operating role at a Y Combinator–backed startup, giving him a first-hand view of how great companies are built from the ground up.

Born in Mumbai and raised between Mumbai and Jakarta, Tushar developed a deep appreciation for how constant change creates opportunity. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics & Economics from the University of Southern California.

Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new restaurants, listening to podcasts, and watching stand-up comedy.
